Studio B Central is an office for Architecture and Urban Design. Our core business is to design plans for existing urban areas. For several reasons the densification and reconstruction of cities is to become a greater design issue in the future. These reasons are environmentally, socially, efficiency and to keep or improve urban quality. We are working on studies which will show the urgency of investment in existing cities. To densify existing neighborhoods is always complex. Even if a city still has lots of space there are many stakeholders to deal with. By densifying you will always lose some current quality’s like sunlight, green space, free sight or privacy. That’s why a central theme of plans is always how it compensates these loses with new qualities. Studio B Central sees it as its mission to come up with design solutions that make our cities more compact and with higher quality at the same time. These solutions are different every time because we have to deal with a different context every time. Studio B Central loves to be and to build central!
