Line 3 was in operation during the period of 1913 – 1950. The line follows a central route and starts at the historic Tram hall at Møhlenpris. The line climbs up and passes through the univeristy and museum area of Nygårdshøyden. Then down to the entertainment area along Magnus Barfots gate and Neumanns gate and ends near the city center in front of the theater (Den National Scene) at Engen. The line has a total length of 1450 meters. It is planned to be completed in 2022, in time for the 125th anniversary of the start of tram operations in Bergen in 1897.
