How Melissa got into this new venture still baffles her-It all started in 2006 when Melissa was watching Paula’s Home Cooking on one of her favorite channels Food Network. Do you remember the armadillo groom's cake from Steel Magnolias? Well, Ms. Paula was making the signature dessert of the South red velvet cake with cream cheese icing. The recipe seemed easy and Melissa decided to try out the recipe over the weekend, for her then fiancé, now husband's family since Melissa knew red velvet is one of their all-time favorite desserts. After re-creating that recipe Melissa was hooked and I've been a baking fool ever since. As word of mouth is a powerful advertising tool things began to snowball from there. Since Melissa love baking so much she decided to turn a hobby into a new venture as she builds a legacy through cakes.
