The Historic Wilmington Foundation is an historic preservation 501c(3) dedicated to preserving the architectural heritage of Wilmington and the Lower Cape Fear region. Since its formation in 1966, HWF has successfully saved numerous properties from demolition, and our plaque program helps share the stories of local homes and buildings with this singular community. Through education, advocacy, community involvement and revolving fund activities, we work to save the irreplaceable.
