First Cold are a 3rd Party Cold Storage provider with facilities in the Waikato and Taranaki. We opened our first store in Hamilton, New Zealand in October 2019, and our second store in Stratford Taranaki in July 2021. Our Hamilton facility provides storage for dry , chilled and frozen product offering temperature ranges from +20C to -25C. In addition to storage services First Cold offers blast freezing in its dedicated blast cell. First Cold Hamilton is a Transitional Facility accredited for importation of animal products and we have applied for an export RMP license. The Taranaki Facility when refurbished will be a modern efficient "green" operating on a CO2 Transcritical system and utilizing the latest technology to monitor and control the engine room. The store will be fully fitted out with the latest in LED lighting and a redesigned ELA area will create a modern efficient store environment. First Cold staff are qualified as Transitional Facility Officers and Accredited Persons and have over 30 years experience running Cold Storage distribution facilities.
