www.premichigan.comParadigm Research and Engineering is an engineering and design consultancy specialized in sensor safety technologies. Paradigm was awarded two competitive Small Business Innovative Research grants from the US Army Tank Automotive Command to develop a sensor that detects blast events and triggers safety systems faster than current technology. During the course of their Phase 2 SBIR, Paradigm was selected to participate in the Department of Defense Velociter pilot program. The Velociter program is administered under the Office of the Secretary of Defense and provides support to entrepreneurs looking to commercialize their SBIR developed technologies. Most recently Paradigm was accepted into the Defense Automotive Technologies Consortium to potentially work on developing the Next Generation Military Vehicle Prototype out of the Detroit Tank Automotive Command Center (TACOM) in Michigan. Paradigm has a growing division working on finding paths for fellow Women Owned Small Business looking to commercialize their engineering and design solutions in a variety of sectors including aerospace and automotive. With a successful track record of government contracting and background in academia as well as government relations, Paradigm is uniquely positioned to assist start-ups to navigate the complex world of government contracting and product commercialization. As a business we believe that sound engineering cannot exist without innovative design and an interdisciplinary approach, and that a diversity of perspectives is crucial to any good engineering solution. As a Woman Owned Small Business we take that approach to also believe in good corporate social responsibility and being good community members. To further our mission, we are relocating our offices to a Historically Underutilized Business Zone and are especially excited about our new mentorship program which aims to increase access to STEM fields for women and traditionally underrepresented groups in the field.
