Founder Carroll Seghers opened the original Carroll’s Jewelers in Cincinnati in 1937. Nine years later (citing sand in his shoes) he moved his business to Coral Gables and opened one of the first jewelry stores on Miracle Mile. In 1961, Carroll’s expanded to its current location on Las Olas. Today, Carroll’s is a well-known Fort Lauderdale stalwart; its signature black and white awnings invite customers from all over the world to shop for that perfect gift. A 80 year member of the American Gem Society, Carroll’s is one of very few jewelers that can offer its customers unparalleled guidance when selecting a piece of jewelry. Membership in the American Gem Society means that a jeweler is held to the highest standard within the industry including yearly re-certification and ongoing training. We are proud to share this knowledge with customers, as we believe that an investment in fine jewelry is not to be taken lightly. Repairs are another important part of our commitment to serving our customers, and we are honored to be trusted with the restoration of many fine family heirlooms.
