The Nordic Genetic Resource Center (NordGen) is a Nordic organization dedicated to the safeguarding and sustainable use of plants, farm animals and forest. NordGen is also operational manager of the Svalbard Global Seed Vault, and administrating it along with our partners. The Seed Vault is a backup for the seed collections kept in the world's genebanks. NordGen is an institute under the Nordic Council of Ministers with offices in Alnarp, Sweden, and Ås, Norway.
