Tehomet is the Nordic countries’ largest manufacturer of steel and wooden custom light poles and lighting mast structures. Established in 1979, the company has been based in Kangasniemi, Finland, throughout its history. In 2005, Tehomet Baltic was founded in Kiiu, Estonia, to serve customers in the Baltic countries in particular. Since 2007 Tehomet has produced decorative clue laminated wooden poles in Parikkala, Finland. Tehomet’s expertise in crafting special lighting poles is rooted in our customer focus and innovative product development traditions. Put simply, Tehomet responds to the unique needs of its customers by designing and manufacturing high quality light poles, many of which are one-of-a-kind creations. Tehomet’s market area encompasses not only the Nordic countries but also the Baltic region, Russia and increasingly, the rest of the world. Tehomet’s strong domestic expertise has been put to good use in challenging export projects, and demand for the company’s products within the EU is constantly growing. With wood products, market area is nowadays more than 35 countries. Tehomet and Valmont Industries joined forces in spring 2007. Through this development, Tehomet is now part of the market leader in lighting poles worldwide. The product range also grew: aluminum light poles as well as telecom masts and power transmission and distribution masts were added to the product offering.
