36 Signal Regiment
www.army-armee.forces.gc.ca36 Signal Regiment is a Reserve Force Army Communications and Electronics unit based out of Halifax and Glace Bay, Nova Scotia, and Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island. Please see web page. Our History This Reserve Force Regiment has its roots dating back to 1904 during the early years of military communications in Canada. The lineage can be traced to the second oldest independant Signals unit not only in Canada but in the entire Commonweath. Communications units in the Atlantic Provinces have gone through several transitions throughout the years, with the most recent transformation taking effect on April 1, 2012. This phase of the transition saw the three separate squadrons amalgamate into 36 Signal Regiment.
