Ogden Pride was organized on Oct. 11, 2014, which was National Coming Out Day, and was incorporated in November 2014, becoming the first Pride organization in Ogden and the fourth such group in Utah. In January 2018, Ogden Pride and Ogden OUTreach Resource Center merged. This formed Ogden Pride’s first community program Youth OUTreach, to continue the needed services of the Resource Center, under the Pride banner. This program focuses on providing queer and ally youth activities and a space to connect and meet others like them. The needs of our community were recognized, and in November of 2018, Ogden Pride announced fundraising efforts to prepare to open the Ogden Pride Center. The Center space will house our Youth OUTreach activities, along with our STARS in Action program that was started to provide safe space for our transgender and non-binary community. Ogden Pride Center will be a place to host other programs and community partners for other aspects and needs of the LGBTQ+ community in the North Davis, Weber, Morgan and Box Elder Counties of Utah. Ogden Pride has hosted a festival every year since August of 2015 and continues to work with city and local agencies in providing ways to connect and embrace the diversity that Ogden Valley offers.
