Named after the vineyard estate’s exposed, sun-dappled shale and stones, Sunstone is a beautifully tranquil retreat where you can enjoy a glass of wine in our lavender and rosemary-filled courtyard, in our stone barrel-aging caves, or perhaps enjoy lunch at our picnic tables shaded by olive and oak trees. Winemaker dinners and other special events are held in the tasting room, caves, and courtyard year-round. The Villa at Sunstone is made from reclaimed limestone and artifacts from France. This 8,500 square foot Tuscan-inspired event center is now available for location shoots, culinary retreats and dreamy weddings. The Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Viognier and Syrah grapes from Sunstone's certified organic vineyards are crafted by owner/winemaker Bion Rice into wines marked by firm structure with a balanced, sophisticated mouthfeel. Bion strives to translate the unique character of the estate into a wine that is true to the terroir.
