KEDC’s mission is to enhance a business climate that is conducive to job creation and retention, improving the standard of living for Kilgore residents. Kilgore Economic Development Corporation (KEDC) was established on October 1, 1990. The Type A corporation is funded by a dedicated sales tax and has a five-member board to oversee operations and four full-time staff positions. KEDC has been recognized internationally for excellence. During the last five years KEDC assisted companies representing $144 million in new and retained capital investment and more than 2,300 jobs.
