The SYS Foundation – “Share Your Stethoscope” provides opportunities to those with the desire to pursue educations in the healthcare industry that may be economically disadvantaged but have the courage, determination and strength to grow past their current circumstance and become a professional that lives daily to serve and care for others, with a passion to contribute to patient care in education, leadership, and advocacy within the communities they live in. Share Your Stethoscope is a special component of the foundation that allows current or previous medical professionals an opportunity to donate their gently used or a new stethoscope to a new student. We ask that you motivate and inspire them by attaching a story of your own to your stethoscope donation that shares a memorable experience or a pivotal moment in your education or career, which will be read and remembered by the receiver of your stethoscope to encourage them for years to come! Additionally, SYS will celebrate and recognize these great women and other existing medical professionals, which have made a direct impact to patient care through education, innovation, and compassionate care. These women will be chosen and recognized based off of nominations from their peers and leaders for being compassionate caregivers, developers of innovation contributing to healthcare delivery, community volunteers, advocates for education and research leading to breakthroughs in medicine.
