The FIBA Americas (International Basketball Federation in Americas), is a non-profit organization that represents the International Basketball Federation (FIBA), in the American continent, with jurisdiction from Canada to Argentina. The same one was created according from what was established in the article 43 of the general by-laws of the international basketball federation, FIBA. It was founded on October 11, 1975 in the city de Mexico. Mr. Horacio Muratore (Argentina) is the president of FIBA Americas. The secretariat general is located in San Juan, Puerto Rico and it is directed by Mr. Alberto Garcia, Secretary General.
