The European Finance Association's mission is to foster a professional society for academics, practitioners, and doctoral students in the greater field of finance, who are interested in research areas such as financial management and financial theory along with their applications. EFA serves its community of members based in Europe and elsewhere in the world as an evolving professional network for the exchange of ideas, expertise, news and knowledge in Finance at the international level. The EFA Annual Meeting is the annual conference for EFA members. Held in mid to late August each year, the conference is hosted by select universities, financial institutions, and business schools, usually located in Europe. Current research papers and practices in the broad areas of Finance and Management are presented and discussed over several days. The EFA Annual Meeting is preceded by two pre-conference EFA Doctoral Events for PhD students. The Call for Papers for EFA 2023 is open. In 2023, the 50th EFA Annual Meeting will be held between August 16-19. The host institution is Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (Netherlands) and the Conference Chair is Albert J. Menkveld.
