Verisyme Global ("VG") provides bilingual emergency preparedness and disaster response training programs to students ages 3 to 18. We connect disaster risk reduction education with foreign language learning to teach families different types of disasters and emergencies that could occur in the region and their appropriate responses. We offer courses in English, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese. VG takes pride in providing families with the knowledge, skills, and tools to turn a situation of potential post-traumatic stress (PTSD) into post-traumatic growth (PTG) instead. From understanding comes knowledge, the knowledge of survival, avoidance, resilience, and causation – what to do when a disaster occurs. Sharing this knowledge is the Verisyme Mission.
