In Europe, over 25 million cubic meters of timber are used every year in pallets and packaging. Over 2 billion wooden pallets are currently being used in the United States. In the Steel Service Center Industry, for every 500,000 metric tons of steel being dispatched, there is a requirement of 34,000 trees worth of wood. This is a disaster for the global ecosystem.
