The National Economic Supply (NES) is based on a partnership between the state and the private sector. When the private sector can no longer fulfil its supply function, the state intervenes with NES measures. Such a collaboration makes it possible to use the expertise and existing structures of the private sector to fulfil state tasks in the event of a crisis. Representatives from all key sectors of the economy take on a managerial role in organising the National Economic Supply.
