We are an organization of merit shop electrical contractors dedicated to providing industry-related education and training, business management, legislative participation, safety materials and training. Our members are dedicated to quality, integrity, and professionalism in the electrical construction industry. Today's electrical contruction industry is rapidly changing with the introduction of new technology, new methods and increasing competition. This environment requires the independent electrical contractor to be professional in managing and constructing electrical projects. Established in 1997, the Southern Colorado Chapter is one of 52 chapters nationwide representing over 3,200 merit shop and systems contractors. IEC promotes the common interests of independent electrical contractors and works with local, state and federal governments to make the electrical industry safer and stronger. At IEC, our mission is to provide your apprentices, journeymen and management with education, training and forums so you can build a team of professionals and excel in the electrical construction industry.
