Women in Development of Greater Boston (WID) is a membership organization dedicated to the education and support of advancement professionals through an offering of various programs and services as well as opportunities for volunteer involvement. Members help one another develop and improve their professional skills, share information about employment opportunities, and foster a climate which promotes professional achievement. Since its founding in 1980 by a small group of development professionals, WID has grown into a vital and highly respected organization not only within Boston, but throughout Massachusetts and New England. Today, it is one of the largest organizations of advancement professionals in Massachusetts. Our members have varied backgrounds, expertise, and levels and lengths of experience that enrich WID’s culture.
