Coral Guardian is an international non-profit organisation dedicated to coral ecosystems' conservation, awareness programmes and science. We work in partnership with local communities to restore local biodiversity and to encourage the sustainable management of marine ecosystems. We currently operate in Indonesia, where we established a locally managed marine protected area in 2015, as well as in Spain, since 2020. These areas are successfully co-managed with local communities. Our goal is to expand our participatory marine conservation model worldwide. We believe it is crucial to share our knowledge and field-based expertise in order to have an effective social and environmental impact to help combat today's ecological crisis.
