Madeline, Shameah, and Makayla founded The Lily Pad Collective with the goal and vision to give young women who are starting out in their careers the resources and community to support one another as we navigate our professional lives and entrepreneurial goals. As we grow and expand our group, we hope to give young women the platform and support system to start a side hustle, passion project, or even create a new business while they are working or as they transition to being an entrepreneur. Historically, women and young adults have been underrepresented in the entrepreneurial ecosystem with a lack of resources and support. We want to change how young women entrepreneurs are seen in our community. Our group criteria are that: you are a woman or legally identify as one, 21+ years old and have interests in entrepreneurship, passive income, innovation, starting a business, supporting women etc. We have a recurring monthly event that rotates between the last Monday, Thursday and Friday evening of the month that focuses on professional development; we typically do activities, open mic, networking, and speakers within and outside the group. We also have an open networking event each month that is typically a happy hour, dinner, etc.
