Auckland Swords Club Established 1935 Welcome to Auckland Swords Club! If you are interested in learning more about this fast and exciting sport, then have a look through our site. You will find information on the sport as well as details of our club and the introductory course on fencing which we offer to beginners. The club meets at the Auckland Grammar School old gymnasium, off Mountain Road, Gate 3 in Epsom, Auckland (New Zealand) on Tuesday and Thursday nights from 7pm to 9:30pm, and Sunday 1pm to 3pm. Our season runs from mid January through to mid December. ASC was established in 1935 and has run continuously since 1937. We now have over 100 members. We cater to fencers of all abilities and tastes, so whether you are a beginner, have just started doing competitions, moving up the national rankings, or just enjoy fencing for a bit of relaxation, we are the club for you. We offer training by our team of qualified coaches for all levels of fencing in epee and foil to fencers aged 10 and over. We currently have five foil coaches for beginner through to advanced foilists, and three epee coaches. Each session consists of the following schedule: - Group Warm-up - Footwork - Electric Free Fencing / Sparring - Individual Lessons
