Gator Gaming is a student-ran gaming organization at the University of Florida that provides an up-scale gaming experience at UF, Gainesville and the surrounding communities. These events are subjected but not limited to the following: Gaming Tournaments, Art & Music Glorification, Sponsor Booths, Corporate Speakers, Giveaways, and countless networking opportunities. Gator Gaming is most notable for winning Q1 of the Razer University Showdown, a competition designed to find the largest/best University-Gaming organization in the world. Gator Gaming is also renowned for providing the Largest "Free-Gaming" Event in the Southeastern United States, titled "GatorLAN." This event occurs 2-3 times per year and is home to video game startups, spectators, computer and console gamers to partake in a series of tournaments. GatorLAN also involves presentations from industry speakers and sponsors, prizes and giveaways, the "Art Corner" for Arts & Music Festivities, and a Main Stage Experience reminiscent of some of the best Major League gaming events in the world. The purpose of GatorLAN is to provide a unique Gaming Experience where players, enthusiasts and fans can network and play games while enjoying their common interests in a group setting.
