We work with children who demonstrate speech-language difficulties including the following areas: Articulation: difficulty producing speech sounds Expressive Language: difficulty expressing wants and needs, using age-appropriate vocabulary, word structures (i.e., verb tenses, possessives…) and/or sentence structures Receptive Language/Language Processing: difficulty following directions, understanding what has been said, using short term memory skills Pragmatic Language: using appropriate social language Fluency: a disorder with the rhythm of speech/stuttering Voice: concerns with hoarseness, pitch or nasality Phonemic Awareness: difficulty with reading/decoding Reading Comprehension: understanding what has been read Written Expression Difficulties, to include spelling Critical Thinking: understanding and/or discussing cause/effect, problem solving, inferential and/or figurative language
