The Mystics have made the playoffs numerous times. In 2018, the team matched its best regular season record (22-12) while earning their first trip to the WNBA Finals. In 2019, the Mystics won their first-ever WNBA Championship. Washington has been the host city for the 2002 and 2007 All-Star Games.
