Phylli Phlops are infant flip flops that are handmade in Charleston by local business women Phyllis Sheffer and Ali Williams. Phyllis always wanted to start a flip flop company when she retired and wanted to somehow tie the business to a good charity. Since she lost her husband to cancer she decided to set the company up to give a portion of the profits to a charity that helps victims of cancer. Phyllis talked to Ali about the project and since she had a business background and Williams was a talented artist they thought it would be a good partnership. A friend told them about a charity that has a camp for children that are battling cancer. They visited the camp, fell in love with the children, and decided to give a portion of the profits from their infant flip flop company to Camp Happy Days.
