Design is an excellent tool for social innovation. Our way of thinking and problem solving makes that we as designers can solve todays and tomorrows complex problems like social cohesion, climate change, education, political system, healthcare and advancing technological developments. Society is changing rapidly and we need not only to adapt but consciously decided where we are heading. We as designers have a chance shape and contribute to a better world. MK social design aims to connect people with the ultimate goal of learning something from each other and our selves. Designs should bring back the bold open-mindedness we all have as children but gets slammed out of us once we grow up and learn to be afraid. There is something new to learn with everyone you meet. We often have a prejudice about people we don’t know, but once you start the conversation you quickly see there is much more common ground than you might expect. Let our diversity be an inspiration and an invitation to challenge and reflect upon our selves and our behavior.
