Alley Cat Advocates was incorporated in 1999 as a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization whose mission is to provide for the humane treatment of unowned cats in the metropolitan Louisville, Kentucky area. In striving to accomplish our mission, our efforts focus on directing a Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) program in the safest, most efficient and cost effective way possible. Alley Cat Advocates has spayed / neutered over 50,000 unowned community cats in the Kentuckiana area. The organization has been recognized for best practices and as a national model for reducing overpopulation.
