The Shimadzu Institute for Research Technologies was established February 28th, 2013 as a result of the partnership between the University of Texas at Arlington and the Shimadzu Corporation. It is comprised of multiple instrumentation facilities, each with a different research focus, and operated under a “centralized research resources” model. Founded on the premise that eliminating barriers to research technologies and creating a mutual space for interaction promotes scientific advances that traditional approaches cannot.
