The student association, "Nieuwe Compagnie van Verre" (N.C.V.), was founded on the 8th of February 1947 -- one year after the foundation of het Nederlands Opleidings Instituut voor het Buitenland (N.O.I.B.). Nyenrode Business Universiteit promotes its Master in Management (MSc) program with the three pillar concept: Living on campus, the academic rigor, and being part of the N.C.V.. The student association serves as an avenue where all members can exploit their capabilities and interests. From the Race of the Classics (a sailing event), the International Study Trip, up to managing the association's own student-run bar on campus, the N.C.V. has a multitude of activities and committees to offer to its members. In recent years, the International MBA students have also been allowed to join the association. Current students and alumni deeply agree that this aspect of the program is what brings together and creates a strong bond between current students, alumni, and the university. To date, traditions of the N.C.V. still live on and the association is more active than ever. The association remains to be a true and significant aspect of Nyenrode Business Universiteit's program, which should not be missed by its students.
