The Association was founded in 1990 at the Chateau de Brecourt, Normandy France by a small group accountants. They considered that a network of independent accountants throughout Europe would bring benefits and opportunities to both themselves and their clients in meeting the challenges facing cross-border business. With globalisation comes the need to have access to accounting expertise at an international level, the Brecourt offers representation in many major geographical areas of Europe. Through their association with the Brecourt, Member firms are able to remain independent and maintain a strong position in the accounting marketplace. Members meet regularly in conference throughout Europe as a result to share knowledge and to develop services and to meet the challenges of international business. of which Members get to know each other and respect each other as a fellowship. This means that they can respond promptly to requests for advice and assistance so a client’s needs can be met quickly and efficiently – on an informal or formal basis.
