Poland Welcomes
www.polandwelcomes.orgWe are a start-up charity in Jarosław, Poland, housing and feeding 500 Ukrainian women and children. You can donate at www.polandwelcomes.org – we are working hard to achieve funding from NGOs and larger charities, but we urgently need US$40,000 every single week just to pay our bills. And that works out at less than $10 per refugee per night. Poland Welcomes was founded by Patryk Gaweł, a property developer here in Jarosław, Poland, at the start of the war in Ukraine. With the volunteer help of a group of friends, we have expanded in less than 2 months to operate over 6 sites – including a disused school in Boratyn and a disused agricultural college dormitory in Radymno. We are a registered charity in Poland. Our legal name is Unitatem Fundacja.
