TorqAid is a humanitarian and community development consultancy which operates both in Australia and overseas. Chris Piper is the CEO. The intended outcome of TorqAid's various initiatives (see below) is to provide a range of targeted consultancy and facilitation services to the Australian and overseas practitioners and students, which in turn will be translated into improved humanitarian practice and understanding by those people involved. TorqAid delivers four main areas of service: Training & Facilitation (both accredited TorqAid Participatory Project Management {PPM} and Disaster Risk Management {DRM} workshops, as well as teaching on Australian university off-campus courses) Field Consultation (a combination of humanitarian and community development initiatives both in Australia and overseas) Research & Publications (these including both the monthly Australian Aid Resource & Training Guide {AARTG}, as well as a range of humanitarian and project management design models) Mentoring and coaching of humanitarian/development practitioners
