Sundorne Castle Estate has been the seat of the de Quincey family since 1066. The family association continues unbroken to this day, with the family actively involved in the management and success of the now diversified estate. Dominating the landscape to the East of Shrewsbury the Estate today runs to 3000 acres of land and forestry surrounding the villages of Uffington and Upton Magna, and contains such landmarks as Haughmond Hill, Sundorne Castle, and the banks of the Rivers Severn and Tern. The Estate supports its own conservation farming enterprise, as well as tenant farms, rural houses to rent, Shropshire commercial office spaces, and medium scale industrial units, and sporting opportunities, allowing the modern estate to operate as varied and multifaceted country business that continues to be vibrant, community orientated and forward thinking.
