The Club Club degli Orafi Italia is an independent association that brings together the most important companies of the Italian gold jewellery industry, and represents the different categories and leaders in their respective business segments: brands, manufacturers, wholesale and retail distribution, specialised press and international organisations for the promotion of gold, platinum and diamonds. The Club was founded by a group of enlightened companies in 1980 to support one of the most representative sectors of the Made in Italy concept worldwide - Italian jewellery - with the aim of diffusing its values of excellence, style, craftsmanship, vocation and culture. Over the years the Club has become a catalyst for the sector and represents the most reliable source of information on the performance of the Italian jewellery industry. It was the first, in fact, to establish a permanent observatory on the domestic market, exports and trends in jewellery, promoting ad hoc studies and researches. In particular, the half-yearly statistics report, issued in collaboration with Centro Studi Intesa Sanpaolo, is an important tool for those who work in the sector. Club degli Orafi promotes a culture of entrepreneurship through an intense programme of meetings geared to monitoring developments in the jewellery market, new consumer demands and trends and the variables that help to keep the tradition strong. Member of CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation, whose objective is to promote international co-operation in the jewellery market. Member of the Responsible Jewellery Council, an international non-profit organisation committed to promoting business standards and practices that are ethical, sustainable and responsible, respecting human rights and the social principles of the environment, and applying transparency and reliability throughout the industry, from mining to commerce to retail.
