The Southern Pain Society was incorporated in 1986 with the mission to serve people with pain by advancing research and treatment and to increase the knowledge and skill of the regional professional community. SPS regional footprint includes 18 states in the Southern US and Puerto Rico. As a member of SPS, you become part of a professional community with scientific and clinical interests in managing pain disorders. Members represent a variety of disciplines, including physicians, nurses, psychologists, physical therapists, etc., and are involved in basic research, clinical research, treatment, advocacy, and public policy.
