Cambridge Governance Labs is an interdisciplinary initiative which focuses on governance risk as a key underlying driver of the most global and existential threats to humanity. The principal strategy to minimise governance risk is to translate what is known about responsible decision-making into practical tools for those who exercise authority on behalf of citizens. Through research and international cross-disciplinary events we bring together academics and practitioners from across the University and beyond to develop and refine strategies to promote responsible decision-making, i.e. decision-making that is structured by administrative law rules, accountable, evidence-based, ethical, inclusive and guided by policies serve the long term public interest.
