Sequoia Yacht
www.coraltrianglesafaris.comWelcome to the world of Sequoia. A long-held passion for exploring Indonesia’s last frontier inspired Yessi Sari and Kevin Corcoran to build a wooden yacht that reflects the natural beauty of Indonesia. Known for its longevity and fortitude, the giant Sequoia tree was an inspiration to name this heirloom quality yacht, Sequoia. The tree symbolizes nature, a place where we seek serenity and solitude. Sequoia Yacht enables intrepid travelers like you to enjoy private, exclusive, and insider access while island hopping the best-kept secrets of the Coral Triangle of Indonesia. Our mother oceans cover more than seventy percent of our blue planet. Coral reefs account for less than one percent of ocean floor. Less than one percent of the world’s reefs are in a pristine state. The world’s finest reefs can be found within the Coral Triangle of Indonesia. It is where the Pacific and Indian Oceans converge. Sequoia sails in the nine million acres within the 20 designated Indonesian Marine Parks and UNESCO World Heritage Sites. There are three distinct regions where Sequoia sails following fair winds: Lesser Sunda in the Indian Ocean, West Papua/ West New Guinea in the Pacific Ocean, and Moluccas in between the two mother oceans, the Banda Sea. Things built by hand are rare. Generations of Konjo tribesmen bring with them centuries of experience in the building of wooden schooners into Sequoia. Sequoia was built to be in compliance with USCG & ABYC safety standards. Advanced marine and navigation technology built within the ironwood shell fastened with silicon bronze hardware, increases comfort, safety, and longevity. The result is a well-appointed upscale yacht for families with kids, honeymooners, and/or good friends island hop doing summer things only during our 360 days of Summer. Sequoia has helped transform a once difficult journey in one of the earth’s most remote corners into one of the most exclusive stays in the world. Life onboard Sequoia is a life well lived.
