Founded in 1988, Capital Rowing Club, located on the Anacostia river, is community rowing in the Nation's Capital. Capital Rowing Club offers the benefits of rowing - discipline, camaraderie, fitness, knowledge of water safety, and stewardship for the Anacostia River - to everyone, regardless of age, income, or level of physical ability. With 11 programs for adults, youth, and athletes with disabilities, Capital delivers a true community experience. Capital Rowing Club is a founding member and currently resides in the boathouse of the Anacostia Community Boathouse Association.
