We further our purposes as stated above by conducting the following activities.: To educate opioid addicts as to resources available and work to divert those in the criminal justice system into appropriate diversion programs to help reduce jail populations and recidivism rates. We will work with our local Health Officials to bring to our counties approved needle exchange programs as well as a supervised injection sites with a goal of reducing overdose deaths, newly diagnosed cases of HIV and Hepatitus C.Expanding distribution of Narcan, an opioid overdose medication into all homes as part of general first aid kits and provide educational classes on the recognition of an opioid overdose and proper use of medication as well as CPR. Distribution of hygiene kits to improve overall moral and health. Distribution of snack kits to reduce hunger and improve overall health. We will introduce a drug take back program to help reduce improper disposal and abuse of expired or unused prescription medications at no cost to the consumer with the ability to track the collected medications to the point of incineration.
