Our graduate program includes a master’s degree in African Studies, a Ph.D. minor in African Studies, and three dual/joint graduate degrees in partnership with several of IU's professional schools. Our interdisciplinary courses span the histories, cultures, and languages of Africa and the diaspora. You’ll gain valuable skills that will prepare you for a career in government, business, academe, education, the non-profit sector, or another career option requiring global competence -- whether in the U.S., on the African continent, or anywhere else you may go.
