The Sir John Kirwan Foundation has been established to help young people understand mental health. We want to equip students with the knowledge and age appropriate skills they need to recognise and respond to mental health issues both in themselves and others. Learning about mental health is as important as learning to read and write. Alongside a team of leading experts, we are developing a mental health education approach for primary and intermediate students to ensure schools have the resources to teach their students about mental wellness. Through our qualified Foundation coaches and alongside schools and their communities we will provide the curriculum framework for mental health education, together with a range of resources for schools, to educate students.
