Fountainhead Transmedia, Inc.
www.fountainhead.comI’m Fredric King, a producer and director who’s driven to create provocative, visually striking work that moves and motivates people. I work in entertainment, advertising, and the world of non-profits. A camera lens has helped me see the world, starting at the age of ten, and I’ve been on an imaginative storytelling journey ever since. I’m especially drawn to unexpected stories that dramatize deep human truths and spotlight vital social issues. I am the founder and creative director of Fountainhead Transmedia, Inc. (1991 — Advertising), Fountainhead Films, Inc. (2003 — Entertainment), and Fountainhead Design, LLC (2018 — Print and Website). Film/TV (Narrative) Highlights of my films include the Oscar-nominated dramas “Sound of Metal” (2020), “Blue Valentine” (2010), and Spirit Award-nominated “Streets of Legend” (2005). My documentaries include “Swoon: fearless” (2017), “Haiti Redux” (2014), and “Bike Club” (2006). Film/TV (Documentary) “Haiti Redux,” (2013) which I directed and produced, explores the efforts of artists, engineers, NGOs, community groups, and others to rebuild multiple rural and urban communities in Haiti after the devastation of the 2010 earthquake. I directed and produced “Swoon: fearless,” (2017) about the street artist, activist, and advocate Caledonia Curry, who was instrumental in the rebuilding efforts in Haiti. I became fascinated with Black Label Bicycle Club and its unique punk/art/maker vibe, producing the documentary “Bike Club,” about two filmmakers who infiltrated an underground bicycle club. It delivers a very inclusive punk indie soundtrack from band performances in the early 2000s. Self-distributed at BikeClubFilms.com Advertising Advertising gives me the opportunity to work with clients I like – producing dynamic, focused, creative campaigns. American Express, Canon USA, Diageo, Ensemble Lifestyle, Moet Hennessy USA, New York Times, NYC DOE, etc. Nonprofit Projects I love using my filmmaking and storytelling skills to prod
