KRU Detailing commenced trading in September 2002 and has since been involved in the detailing of mining, commercial and architectural structures. We pride ourselves in producing an accurate product at an affordable rate and to reliable deadlines. We have detailed projects from 2 to 2200 tonnes ranging from light floors to curved shopping centre roof trusses and mining structures. Depending on the nature of the steelwork, our current capacity is between 500 and 1500 tonnes/month. We are currently using Tekla Structures to model projects in a 3D environment. Tekla Structures is a very versatile structural and architectural steel structure modelling system and we are able to detail most industrial and mining structures with ease. We are also able to detail plate work for chutes and liner plates. Tekla Structures is specifically designed for the detailing of steel structures and produces an array of easy to use, 2D fabrication and erection drawings and accurate lists from the 3D model. This facilitates accurate and efficient fabrication with significantly less workshop and on-site errors. Tekla Structures has a sophisticated drawing management structure which keeps track of revisions to steelwork and allows the structure to be modelled and fabricated in phases optimising shop drawing and fabrication durations. Tekla Structures has no limit to the size of the model and thus large projects can be presented in their entirety. This allows for the detection of soft and hard clashes throughout projects. KRU Detailing currently has 9 Tekla structures licenses and over 10 years of steel detailing experience.
