The DC Line
www.thedcline.orgThe DC Line is a new nonprofit media organization dedicated to covering local news in our city and providing the information you need to be an active participant in hometown DC. We publish at thedcline.org, and we're @dclinenews on Twitter and Facebook. Our team of reporters and editors brings years of experience covering all levels of District government and exploring topics of interest to the city’s residents. We will be embarking on an initial fundraising campaign for founding member-donors soon. Our mission as a nonprofit, independent and nonpartisan news site is threefold: • to provide high-quality journalism about local DC with coverage of subjects such as politics, public policy, schools, the natural and built environment, and arts and culture; • to foster civic participation by offering a forum for civil public discussion; • and to help provide the tools necessary for active engagement. If you're interested in freelancing for us, in making a financial contribution once we have begun our fundraising campaign or in helping in other ways, please contact chriskain@thedcline.org. Please send press releases, news tips or comments about our coverage to news@thedcline.org. Events listings should be sent to events@thedcline.org.
