I, Richard Stooker, was born to write. Right now, I concentrate on writing content that sells for clients in the alternative health field. However, I have also written short stories and novels in various genres: science fiction, fantasy, urban fantasy, horror, dark fantasy and so on. That's published under In Dreams Extreme Press. I've also written and published non-health-related nonfiction books. As both a fiction and nonfiction author, my books are published for Kindle, CreateSpace (Amazon's paperbound book company), Barnes & Noble Nook, Apple, Google Play, Kobo and Smashwords. Many have audiobooks available through Amazon's Audible and Apple iTunes store. Many have been translated into various other languages and are available through Kindle and online book retailers that service customers in those particular languages. As a health-related content and sales writer, I center my attention on my Live Healthy, Live Forever blog. I've registered my own name with the state of Missouri as a business in the hope of bringing some organization to my writing career by emphasizing that all my words issue from my head and heart through my fingers on the keyboard. I realize clients, readers and even most writers prefer writers to be specialized. They want Stephen King to write horror novels and Casey Hibbard to write case studies, and that's that. However, I've been writing since I was in high school and have had a lot of diverse experiences, and I've enjoyed learning about all kinds of writing ever since I noticed THE WRITER contained articles about writing for nonfiction markets as well as how to write fiction. I do see the value in niche specialization, which is why I've chosen the alternative health field in many manifestations. I'm a compulsive reader and researcher of new health and anti-aging findings for my own sake, so it's great that I can get paid for keeping up with a field I'd be reading anyway.
