District VI is a collection multiple academic institutions in the DMV. Ever since FIND District VI was founded in 1995, the non-profit organization has been continuously expanding throughout the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia (DMV) area. The purpose of FIND District VI is to promote unity and cooperation of Filipino students at East Coast colleges, universities, vocational, and technical schools. In this FIND District VI has four goals: to offer a channel for dialogue and action for Filipino and Filipino-American students, to promote and preserve the Filipino culture, to further awareness of issues pertinent to the Filipino community, and to offer support to Filipinos attending an institutions in the District VI area.
