Center for Behavioral Health & Technology
med.virginia.eduFor more than a decade, our research group has been involved in eHealth, specifically the development and testing of clinical interventions delivered via the Internet. We believe the Internet can be used to implement engaging, interactive, and comprehensive interventions. Our interventions are designed to improve outcome by tailoring the programs to the individual user. We were among the first to test the feasibility and effectiveness of delivering Internet interventions. We have received significant support to develop and evaluate our programs from numerous funders, including the National Institute of Mental Health, the National Institute for Childhood Health and Human Development, the National Institute for Diabetes Digestive and Kidney Diseases, the National Institute on Drug Abuse, the National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism, the American Diabetes Association, the Commonwealth Neurotrauma Initiative, the Virginia Department of Criminal Justice Services, and the University of Virginia.
